The New Seat

On Monday morning, Leo found a small NOTE on his desk. It said, “Welcome back, Max.”
星期一早上，Leo 在桌上发现了一张小纸条。上面写着：“欢迎回来，Max。”
Leo looked around the classroom. The STRANGE thing was that nobody in his class was called Max. His best friend Mia pointed to the empty SEAT beside him and smiled.
Leo 环顾教室。奇怪的是，班里没有人叫 Max。他最好的朋友 Mia 指着他身旁的空座位，笑了。
“Maybe our new classmate will tell us why,” Mia said.
Just then, the door opened. A boy with a bright blue backpack walked in and said, “Hi. I’m Max. Is this seat free?”
